Sports are a common activity for teens to get their minds off of things. A big part of this is training for bigger goals than your every day school sports.All around the world, student athletes are racing against one another for scholarship oppurtunities. Though this an achieveble goal,a majority of these athletes aren't recruited by universities. Due to this, mental health checks are important. Taking such a loss like this can be critical, especially when some children plan their whole lives for that moment. It's believed that more should be done for these unfourtanate players. Mental health is and should always be the main priority. Below is a link with advice for families having a difficult time getting their children, nieces, nephews, etc back into that game on mode.

Though your athlete may not have been selected by their #1 school, this doesn't mean their dreams end here. Discuss with them these tips, and work together to build a new goal for them.
